Metal components and crystals come together in a glamorous way for this completely unique key shaped pendant. If you've been intimidated by ornate wire wraps, have no fear. Simple wrapping is used throughout this project. Gather your jewelry pliers and cutters and any leftover beads and spacers you might have in your stash. This pretty pendant requires little else than 18 gauge and 24 gauge round silver wire.

Directions

Cut 18 Gauge Wire

The Key - Cut one wire 7" long for the key. Mark at 2" and 5". Create 90-degree angles at the marks. Bend the wire between the angles over a round object, bringing the angles together. Flatten the circle slightly into an oval.

#1, #2, & #3 - Cut 3 wires to measure 1.50". Bend them into circles and use round nose pliers to curl the ends.

#4- Cut one wire to measure 1" and bend into a circle. Curl the ends.

#5- Cut one wire to measure 1.50". Mark at .50" from each end and bend into 90-degree angles. Curl the ends with round nose pliers.

step 1 - Cut a 12-inch piece of 24-gauge wire. You will use several 12" lengths for this project so cut a longer length if you are comfortable with it. I find it easier to work with 12 inches at a time. Wrap the wire around the key starting at the left angle.
