Simple Ruby Necklace

There's nothing quite like the richness of a ruby red jeweled necklace. The brilliance of this one comes from round beads, bicone beads, and the the eight glimmering multi-color stones in the rondelle spacer beads. Clear crystal rondelles flank the spacer beads balancing the design and keeping it from having that feel of being a little too fussy. This project comes together very easily. Like the name implies, you simply string beads onto cord. The necklace is finished with crimp beads and a lobster clasp in gold to compliment the sliver of gold metal on each side of the spacer beads.

Directions

step 1 - Cut a 22” length of beading cord. (top illustration) String the cord through a crimp bead, through a closed jump ring then back through the crimp bead. (bottom illustration) Slide the crimp bead up close to the jump ring and use a crimp tool to secure the crimp bead to the cord. Cut away the tail.
