Ice Skate Gift Bag

Measures 10" x 7"

Buying a gift for a BFF?  This fun project is the perfect bag for gift giving in the winter months, and one any lady would enjoy receiving.  Metallic silver paint creates a hard shiny skate blade while a bit of fur adds just the right soft, feminine fluff.  Silver ribbon and silver snowflakes bring the entire design together with a delightful touch of bling on a winter blue background.

Directions

COVER EXPOSED AREAS TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OVER SPRAY. ALLOW PAINT TO DRY BETWEEN STEPS.

step 1 - THE SKATE Download and print out the skate image on glossy photo paper or card stock.   Glue the paper to a sheet of plain card stock, which will give the skate more support.  Position the glue close to cut lines so glue will remain after the skate has been cut out.  When the glue is dry, use a craft knife or scissors to cut out the skate.  Punch 11 holes in the skate ¼” apart as shown.

step 2 - Mask all of the skate except the blade.  Spray the blade with silver paint.   Remove the tape and masking when dry.  When masking with tape, be aware that tape applied too firmly may lift the black toner from the printed image.
