Happy Snowman Ornament

ornament measures 4" x 3"

This happy little snowman is an easy ornament to add to your tree in just a few minutes.   Bake it in your kitchen oven for 30 minutes then brush on glaze. The eyes and mouth are seed beads pushed into the clay before baking.  Make a bunch of these cheery snowmen and take one with you to every home you visit during the holiday season!

Directions

step 1 - Condition and roll out the white clay to about 1/8” thick.  Print and cut out the template on card stock. Set the snowman template over the clay.  Roll across the stencil to leave the snowman outline on the clay.

step 6 - Use the Etch n’ Pearl tool to create fold creases in the scarf.  Use the snowman template to cut the shape of the nose from orange clay.  Place the piece on the snowman aligning the edges.  Note that the nose should extend down on the face about the same distance as it extends up.

step 7 - Attach the eyes and mouth by sticking a pin in a seed bead and holding it over the spot where you want to place the bead. Put your finger on the bead and slip the pin out.  The pin makes placement easy and prevents the hole side of the bead from facing up.  Once the beads are in place, press down on them evenly with a flat object like a ruler.
