step 1 -  Download the two template pages and tape them together.

Welcome in the new season with a twig basket lined with gift wrap tissue and filled with the brilliantcolors of Autumn.  I was drawn to this 4” wideivory ribbon because it offers a different take on the popular glittery deco mesh found in many front door wreaths.  Made of burlap, the ribbon holds its shape thanks to the wired edges.  I mixed a gold diamond design ribbon into the flower arrangement for just a little sparkle and more color pop!   You’ll find the main five supplies in the photos below.

Directions

step 1 - Slice the floral block in half lengthwise.  Shape it into a “V” to fit into the basket.  Glue pieces of floral block together to fill the space.  Remove the block and press orange gift wrap tissue to the inside.  Replace the block.

step 3 - Cut all the flowers and stems from their grouping.  Arrange the flowers first by alternating colors.  Push the stem into the block material and hot glue them in place.

step 6 - Twist a pipe cleaner, jewelry wire, or floral wire around the burlap ribbon ten inches from the end.  Move across the ribbon attaching pipe cleaners every ten inches until you have eight.  Cut off the excess leaving a 10 tail on the end.  Hot glue the edge to prevent it from fraying.

step 7 - Attach the pipe cleaners to the basket edge evenly distributing them, about 1.50” between each. Once you’re happy with the placement, tuck the wire ends inside the basket.  Fluff up the burlap to cover the wires.

step 10 - Hook the basket handle on the end of a wreath door hanger.

step 11 - If you prefer to hang your basket from a ribbon, double the length you need and cut a piece from the burlap.  Fold the ribbon in half with the basket handle in between. Weave heavy wire in and out of the overlapped ends of the burlap to secure them together.
