CREATE CUSTOM DESIGNS WITH A STROKE OF
YOUR COMPUTER KEYS
Have you wanted to make your own custom greeting cards, wallpaper borders, t-shirts and other items requiring a decorative touch, but hesitate because you’re not a very good artist? This is the answer for you.
Look through the font menu on your computer. If you have Wingdings, Webdings, Zapf Chancery, or Bodoni Ornamentals, you’re on your way to creating designs. If you don’t have any of these, you can find them online by Googling the above names.
With Photoshop and image fonts like the ones listed above, just type the alphabet and see the images or design elements available. Each letter you type creates a new image, and holding down the shift key, will give you yet another.
Choose one and enlarge it, distort it, or skew it. Group several together or repeat one image to make borders. The possibilities are endless.
Use font images to create your own stencils by printing the image on card stock, then cutting out the image with a craft knife.
Each keystroke represents an image or design element.
The art on this shirt combines four elements. The design was printed on card stock, then cut out to create the stencil used to paint the shirt.
