  1. 160 black 3mm beads

  2. 40 silver 4mm beads

  3. 4 silver 5 hole spacers

  4. 1 yd. of .5mm stretch cord

  5. Krazy Glue

Where To Get It

All purchases were made at JoAnn’s.

DIRECTIONS

The finished length of the ring is 5” and consists of 5 rows of beads.

  1. 1.Cut the cord into five 7” pieces.

  2. 2.Thread the cord through the top hole of the vertical spacer.  Wrapping the other cord end with masking tape will prevent beads from slipping off as you work.

  3. 3.Thread cord through beads as follows:

  4. 4 black, 1 silver, 4 black, one silver

  5. vertical spacer

  6. 4 black, 1 silver, 4 black, one silver

  7. vertical spacer

  8. 4 black, 1 silver, 4 black, one silver

  9. vertical spacer

  10. 4 black, 1 silver, 4 black one silver

  11. 4.Remove the masking tape and tie both cord ends together in a double knot.  The knot will be barely visible because it sits between the last silver bead and the spacer.

BEADED STRETCHY

NAPKIN RING

Dot the knot with glue for added strength.  To do this, stretch the napkin ring over a small box or other item and move the beads out of the way to see and access the knot clearly.  Once the glue dries, trim the tail ends of the cord.

  1. 5. Repeat the steps above for the other 4 rows of beading.

TIPS & SHORTCUTS

The finished ring may appear slightly uneven if some of the rows are tied tighter than others.  Try to make them uniform.
