DIRECTIONS

  1. 1. Thread the suede cord through the pendant.

  2. 2. Bring the left and right cord ends through the large 6mm spacer and slide it down to the pendant.

  3. 3. Thread the left cord through 4 smaller 4mm spacers. Position two spacers together .50” from the 6mm spacer.  The other two spacers should be positioned .50” from the first two.  A dot of Krazy glue on the cord under the spacers, will keep them from shifting.

  4. 4. Repeat step three on the right cord.

  5. 5. The difference between a crimp bead /tube and a crimp end, is the crimp end holds and conceals the raw edge of a cord or wire.

TIPS & SHORTCUTS

The glass pendant pictured here can be replaced with one of a different size and material.

Be sure the holes in the center of the spacers you purchase are big enough to allow the suede cord to pass through.

Costs listed do not include everyday household items like glue, tools, or items costing less than $1.00 per project.

It also has a loop to which you can affix a clasp.  To attach the crimp end, start by dotting glue in the center of the crimp.  Next, position the cord on top of the glue.

This will hold it in position temporarily while you work to secure the crimp.  When the glue is dry, use pliers to fold one side of the crimp end over the cord.  Repeat with the second side.

  1. 6. Using pliers, open a jump ring by holding one end stationery and pushing the other end away from you.  Hook the open ring into the loop on the crimp end.  Slide a clasp onto the ring, then close it using the same technique as you did to open it, but pulling one end toward you.

  2. 7. Finish the necklace by attaching a crimp end, jump ring and clasp to the other raw edge of cord.
