CUBE VASE MAGIC

It feels like magic when you can create a floral arrangement in minutes and have it look this good.

  1. CUBE VASE TIPS, SHORTCUTS & IDEAS

  2. CUBES

  3. One of the many other ways to decorate the cube vase is to wrap a ribbon around the vase horizontally.  Secure the two ends to the glass with Handi-Tak, a putty like substance that will temporarily adhere almost any two surfaces.  You can find it at craft stores.  Attach jewelry; a pendant, charm or pin, to the front of the ribbon to give it a more decorative look.

  4. The beauty of the cube vase is that it requires very few flowers and can be put together quickly.  The vase on the left required only four Gerbera daisies, and a few sprigs of Baby’s breath.

  5. For an interesting setting, try lining up four identical cubes down the center of the dinner table.

  6. Don’t hesitate to use filler stems (ferns, grasses, etc.) that extend outward from the arrangement to create a larger look.

4” clear cube vase

  1. TIPS & SHORTCUTS

  2. The two ribbons on the cube vase can be removed and saved for another use by sliding them, one at a time, off the cube.

  1. 4.There are now four sections in which to place flowers and the ribbon will act as support for them.  Fill the vase 3/4 with water.  Cut enough flowers to fill one section - it’s won’t take more than 2 or 3 depending on the kind you’ve chosen.  Cut them to about 4.5” to 5” long.  If the flowers are cut too long, they will lean over.   One or two flowers in the center can be slightly taller because they will be supported by the center ribbons.

  2. 5.When you’re happy with the look of the first section fill the other 3.

  3. 6.When the vase is full, pull the ribbon tails up and out to shape them into a slight upward curve.  Cut the ends on a diagonal.

  1. 2.Set the glass cube on top of one ribbon.  Bring up the sides, tying it into a knot in the center of the cube.

  1. 3.Do the same with the second ribbon only this time, bring the ribbon up the opposite sides and tie a knot.  The four tails of the ribbons should be facing a different direction.  Your vase will

  1. look like a wrapped package with ribbon running up all four sides.
