FALL DINNER NAPKINS

Here’s a great addition to the Fall table, napkins that bring the colors of the season, indoors.  This is a very basic project you can accomplish in minutes.  Do it with the kids and let them contribute to the table decor.  Just attach the stencil to the napkin and spray!  We used an airbrush to apply the paint but you can do it with with fabric paint and brush or sponge.

Print stencil on heavy card stock or copy to blank stencil sheets.

Ready-made leaf stencils are also available at craft stores like Michael’s and JoAnn’s.

DIRECTIONS


BEFORE PAINTING, ALWAYS WASH AND DRY FABRIC (WITHOUT FABRIC SOFTENER) AND COVER EXPOSED FABRIC TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OVER SPRAY DURING PAINTING.


  1. 1.Download and print out the leaf stencil. With a craft knife, cut out the grey areas. Spray the back of the stencil with repositionable adhesive stencil spray.

  2. 2.Place the stencil on the napkin with the stem in the corner. Press down the cut edges. Be sure all the little edges adhere.

  3. 3.Using Bronze Have More Fun paint, lightly spray about one third (see photo) of the leaf at a diagonal.

  4. 4.Paint the remainder of the leaf (see photo) with a dusting of Mango Tango paint.

  5. 5.Finish by spraying the bottom third (see photo) of the leaf with Pony Tail paint.

  6. 6.When the paint is dry, remove the stencil.
