DOUBLE WOVEN CRYSTAL BRACELET
DOUBLE WOVEN CRYSTAL BRACELET
DIRECTIONS
1.Do not add clasps to your completed single strand bracelet.
2.Begin another identical bracelet as though it were going to be separate. As you did previously, thread three yards of beading threading through two 6mm beads, leaving a 10” tail.
3.Position your two new beads alongside the first bracelet. Instead of threading on five seed beads as as you did with the single bracelet, you will only add three.
4.To connect the first and second bracelets, you will borrow 5 beads by bringing the needle through two seed beads in the first bracelet, then through the 4mm bicone bead, then through two more seed beads.
5.Thread on three more seed beads. As you can see you still have 10 seed beads on the side as per the original instructions. The difference is you are borrowing beads from the first bracelet to complete the beading in the middle. You will use this technique to complete your work.
6.Continue as usual. Go back down through the two 6mm bicone beads, add on 5 seed beads, a 4mm bicone, and 5 more seed beads to create the beading on the outside.
7.Go down through the two 6mm bicone beads and add on one 6mm bicone bead.
8.Continue working the bracelet by adding three seed beads, borrowing the five beads, then adding three more seed beads. Go back down through the second and third 6mm bicones, etc.
9.To finish the bracelet follow the original instructions for attaching the clasp, only this time using a double hole clasp.
TIPS
When you “borrow” beads from the first bracelet it should be from a matching set. If you are working on your third set, you will be borrowing from the third set of the completed bracelet.
We have not illustrated the overlap of bead sets in the first bracelet so that the instructions will be easier to follow.
One of our subscribers recently requested directions for making our woven crystal bracelet in a double strand. We had previously posted photos of two double stranded bracelets on our original bracelet instructions page but failed to explain how they were made. We hope this answers any of your questions. Once you read these instructions, you will be able to make this bracelet with as many strands as you like. The double strand shown here measures one inch wide. To create the double strand bracelet be sure to review the original instructions on our page
