Crystal Teal Woven Bracelet
Crystal Teal Woven Bracelet
DIRECTIONS
Dark teal Swarovski beads mixed with silver lined seed beads create the beautiful contrast for this glamorous, glittering bracelet. The sterling silver clasp features a filigree design accented with a clear Swarovski crystal. I found my clasp on eBay where costs for quality findings can be very reasonable. The directions below will make a bracelet that measures seven inches.

1.Cut beading thread to measure two and a half yards. Thread the needle and slip on a stop bead 12” from the end of the thread. This tail will be used to connect the clasp when the beading is finished.
2.Pass the needle through the following beads: teal, clear, teal, three seed, teal, clear, teal, and three more seed beads.
3.Bring the needle back to the first teal bead and pass the needle through all of them.
4.Pull the thread so that the strand bends and creates two columns with seed beads at the top and bottom.
5.Create a new column by adding the following beads: three seed beads, teal, clear, teal, three more seed beads. Insert the needle into the bottom teal bead of the previous column.
6.Bring the needle through the beads in that column and out the top teal bead.
7.Reinforce the column by bringing the needle into the column you created, passing through the seed beads, the teal, clear, and final teal bead.
8.Create another column by adding three seed, a teal, clear, teal, and three more seed beads. Pass the needle into the top teal bead of the previous column.
9.Bring the needle through the beads in that column and out the bottom teal bead.
10. You will reinforce again by going through the column you just created, ending with your thread coming out of the top teal bead.
11.Complete the bracelet by repeating steps #5 through #10 until you have 25 columns. Follow steps for adding the clasp.
ADDING THE CLASP
1.Add three seed beads to the thread followed by one teal bead. Bring the needle into the ring in the clasp.
2. Bring the needle back through the same teal bead and three seed beads.
3.Pass the needle down the entire first column coming out at the bottom teal bead.
4.Repeat step 1 and 2 to connect the bottom ring in the clasp to the bracelet.
5.Bring the needle up the first column one bead at a time, creating half hitch knots between each bead. Move across the top seed beads to the next column and move down the column knotting between beads again. This will insure that the clasp is connected securely to the bracelet. Clip excess thread after your last knot.
6.Complete the bracelet by threading the 12” tail into the needle and following the clasp steps 1 through 5.
