Cat Face Shirt
This cool cat looks like it’s stepping out of the black shirt and into the room. Something fun to wear around Halloween for boys and girls, and maybe their parents too! This project recommended for airbrush only.

DIRECTIONS
BEFORE PAINTING, ALWAYS WASH AND DRY FABRIC (WITHOUT FABRIC SOFTENER) AND COVER EXPOSED FABRIC TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OVER SPRAY DURING PAINTING.
1. Match up the shirt’s side seams and shoulders and pin them together. This will help you find the accurate center front of the shirt. Iron a soft crease in the shirt from the neckline to the hem to mark the center. Slip cardboard between the shirt front and back to avoid transfer of paint between the layers.
2. Spray the back of the stencil with adhesive stencil spray. With a craft knife, cut out the yellow part of the stencil eyes. Tape over the openings in the eyes and set aside.
3. Place the stencil on the shirt pressing down the cut edges and aligning the center line with the center of your shirt. Fill the open space with enough coats to achieve a strong yellow color with Blonde Ambition paint.
4. When the paint is dry, remove the stencil and cut out the grey areas of the face. Cut out each section in one piece.
5. Put the stencil back on the shirt along with the taped eyes. Be sure all three pieces are positioned correctly.
6. Create a hairy look on the face using a plastic feather or similar tool. Apply Malt Shop paint as you work around the face laying the feather down on top of the stencil and spraying through it. Move the feather to another area and spray again. Keep working around the face until you like the effect. Let it dry.
7. Remove the stencil.
8. Touch up the face by putting the feather only at the the edges of the face line and spraying through it. This will soften the hard edge of the face. Hold the airbrush tool close to the work and a crumpled tissue at the edge of the feather to prevent spraying outside the feather.
9. Create the whiskers by drawing them on a piece of painters tape. Create one for the left and one for the right side of the face. Use the knife to cut through the lines leaving one edge of the tape uncut.
10. Lightly press the tape in place on the face. As you do, separate the cut pieces so there is merely a hairline space between them. Cover all areas outside the tape, then spray with Malt Shop paint. When dry, remove the tape. You can use Black Tie paint to shape the face even more if you choose. The black will cover up the light paint.
11. Using an orange Sharpie marker, color around the black of the eye in an oval shape.
