NO VASE?  NO PROBLEM!

Unusual Floral Containers

Interesting and inexpensive floral containers are everywhere.  The plastic one on the left was a gift box filled with chocolates.

Consider take-out food containers for your arrangements.  They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and many are sturdy, waterproof plastic, sturdy enough to hold a floral arrangement with a plate, decorative tray, or trivet beneath it.

Before you throw out another container - think flowers!

  1. FLORAL BLOCK

  2. Floral block is easy to use and cut and will fit into any shape or space.  If your floral container is bigger than the block, cut another section of block to fill the space.  It’s easier to cut block after it has been soaked in water.  For containers that are smaller than your block:  if your container has a sharp edge, just jam the block onto it and the excess will fall away.

  3. The minimum depth of your container should be about 1 1/2” to insure enough water is being stored to keep the block hydrated.
